Our Engagements

It has been ages since I posted about specific domain assets that we own or are representing for sale. As we oversee many of the most valuable category defining and exact match brand domains on the Internet, it is hard to do justice to them all. I always try to mix them up when I do so they all get the attention they deserve. For today, and since there is so much momentum as Q4 is underway, I thought I would share a few; ID*com, arguably one of the handful of most valuable domain names in the world, representing a rare 1/676 two letter domain that defines a trillion dollar category; Hire*com, Advertise*com, VentureCapital*Com, PrivateEquity*com, Snore*com, Basketball*com Mom*com, Beer*com, and Candy*com, all multi-hundred billion dollar category defining domains; And then there are the most powerful exact match domains, some already strong brands; Sandbox*com, Canopy*com, Sugar*com, and Breeze*com. All of our domain assets Hilco Digital Assets can be seen here: https://hilcodigital.com/all-domains/

Reading

One of the first things I learned when I started Mike Millken/Drexel’s training program out of college was to “READ READ READ”. Reading inspires, reading creates and identifies opportunities, reading stimulates conversation and knowledge, and reading leads to domain transactions and deals. This week, I read one of the many weekly posts by Gary Vaynerchuk and I liked it enough to share it with my son, and here. The post focused on the notion of wasted time, and strongly argues that nothing one does should be seen as wasted time, but rather a chapter in your story or journey and I agree. ” Everyone’s stuck on “I wasted time” .. “I moved to the wrong city” .. “I picked the wrong job.” How about not believing that? How about believing it was just part of your story?”. Here is the full post, https://shorturl.at/Xo96j

2 Steps Back, 5 Steps Forward?

In mid September, I posted here about the lack of urgency and uncertainty in the overall economic and business climate that my intuition sensed, my belief in an eventual AI bubble burst and reset, and my feeling an October stock market correction could be coming. To reiterate, I am extremely bullish on AI, domain names, and the opportunity for massive transformation and growth but that does not mean there will not be healthy steps back before leaps forward. I wondered if Friday’s stock market fall was foreshadowing. If I could truly predict that, I would be on an island in the south of France
