Public CEO Stresses Importance of Exact Match Domains

On Friday, Embrace.com shared a valuable, eye-opening post from Jannick Malling, the CEO of fast-growing fractional investment platform Public, which has raised $300M+ and has now shifted from HelloPublic to Public.com. As I mentioned here last week, we at Hilco Digital Assets oversaw the transaction for one of the most powerful brand name domains on the Internet, Tiger.com. The buyer, Tiger Trade, posted about their upgrade on Thursday. I have been a founder of 2 successful companies built on category .com brands, an investor in others, and an advisor to many, but there is nothing more important than a CEO or Founder who understands the strategic, game-changing, MUST-have importance of its exact match brand or category domain asset, and backs that up by making the move, demonstrating the ROI difference, and doing so publicly.
