A Long-Standing Advocate for Exact Match Domains

For 23 years, I have practiced and preached the game-changing importance of owning your category and exact brand/product dot-com domain name. I have done so as Founder, Investor, and go-to advisor to so many Fortune 100 VCs, PE firms, Investors, and Entrepreneurs. For way too long, I can discuss hundreds of case studies that are real-world evidence of their exponential value, savings, and importance. It is always great when a CEO acquires his exact match category domain and then quickly posts how he/she sees immediately how important it is. This is the case with Gravity.com and Gravity Forms CEO Carl Hancock. I posted some of his tweets yesterday on LinkedIn.

Domains as Valuable Assets

Further to the above, domains are appreciating investments, amortized digital assets that go up in value while providing tens of millions and more in utility. There is a great video where Michael Saylor, CEO of MicroStrategy, criticizes CEOs for wasting P&L marketing money away with inferior domains.

Mega Domain Deals on the Horizon

I am closing a couple of mega domain deals in March that will be game-changers for the acquirers. Will post when I can. These took patience and timing. Be patient. Let the management teams marinate on it and strategize.
