Adding Chocolate.com to Our Prestigious Roster
Two new deals for us at Hilco Digital Assets. I have frequently weighed in on the fact that domain name assets have cycles and that category-killer domain names were again rising in value faster than any other premium one-word domain asset. In the very recent past, we have overseen the sale and acquisition of some of the most valuable category domains on the Internet in some of the largest domain name asset transactions of all time. These include Home.com, Football.com, Legal.com, Networth.com, Sweepstakes.com, and Chat.com, to name a few. We can now add Chocolate.com to that roster. Globally, the chocolate market is $127 billion. I have long said that I thought Chocolate.com was one of the most powerful brands. The well-known expression is “chocolate is better than sex.” What more is there to say than that? Congratulations on a win-win for the seller and buyer, who is headed to do big things.
Overseeing WallStreet.com
We have been involved in many of the most significant premium domain transactions of all time, over 25 years, as a Founder of operating companies built on premium domain brands (CreditCards.com and InsuranceQuotes.com), and as an investor, and buy/sell side advisor; including Beer.com, Diamond.com, Shop.com, Sex.com, Phone.com, Luggage.com, Software.com, Candy.com, and all those in the paragraph above. Today, I am privileged to be overseeing the sale of the most iconic and valuable cultural and financial brand and rare asset in the world, WallStreet.com. There is so much more to come on this story, so I am going to leave it at that for a short window, but between advising on this domain transaction, and some soon-to-be-announced category domain deals Hilco Digital Assets will be investing in, look for us to directly touch all three points of the triangle that represents the trillions of dollars of capital that make up all the money invested globally. More details soon. Visit us at HilcoDigital.com/domains.
