Consistency is Key

I am traveling so this is an abbreviated version of this weekly post which led me to the following: This is the 102nd of 103 weeks in a row I have written this post (took off the week between Christmas and New Years). Doing anything consistently and well is hard, and takes digging deep. That includes training for a competition, getting in shape, writing a blog or recording a podcast, or being successful in whatever you do. Being a parent is the most important and rewarding responsibility of my life but also requires patience and persistence. In domain names, as in any field, it is what separates those who successfully invest or advise on acquisitions and sales. Our entire process at Hilco Digital Assets is based on casting a wide net, building relationships, getting answers (yes or no) and consistently putting in the required effort to do so.

A Record-Breaking Period for Hilco Digital Assets

As I have noted a few times now, it has been the strongest 8 week window for me and Hilco Digital Assets in my 28 years of investing in and advising on the most premium category exact match domain name assets. I posted this on Monday but in case you missed it, we were so excited to oversee the Gold*com transaction which was announced Monday, the story for which is here from my friend Elliot Silver https://lnkd.in/eN-nQ_ge. Later this past week, we closed one of the most significant domain sales of all time, something that I will be able to mention down the road, and this coming week, another major sale will be completed with a multi-billion dollar brand that is a great case study on the importance of exact match domains. Several of my peers have closed some important deals as well, which all highlight the massively game changing effect to enterprise value and the strategic importance of leveraging your exact match, category domain and this asset class. We also acquired two ultra premium domains as investments this week (next week will post what they are). Coming soon will be an important announcement on a non-arms length deal we worked on that I personally, am so excited to share and elaborate on once the news breaks.
