Good People are Good for Business

After college, I got a coveted job in Mike Milken/Drexel Burnham’s 18 month IST training program. As covered in my keynote chat at NamesCon with Ron Jackson, I learned so much from Milken, link to that video here, https://lnkd.in/en92WFSG. One of the most important takeaways was, “you will naturally gravitate to partners and clients who you like and have commonality with. Those are the relationships that produce the most opportunity and wins”. That is certainly the case with my partners at Hilco Digital Assets, my team at HDA, and my partners and clients. Along with representing many CEO/Founders/VC’s in the acquisition/sale of the most valuable exact match and category domain names, I also oversee domain transactions for many of my peers, the most expert, successful domain name investors in the world (you know who you are and I appreciate you). I can say with conviction how much I enjoy, respect, and like each one of them. Monday is an exciting day for me, one that I have been looking forward to for a long time, since I got word that my friend, client, and partner was coming to the US for the first time, on a family trip. I will be headed to NYC to meet him for the first time in person and I am looking forward to discussing life, kids, family and of course domain names.

We at Hilco recently acquired one of the most valuable domain names on the Internet, a high profile one. More on that soon.

Happy Birthday Bret!

Happy 23rd Bday (Friday) to my son, who will now embark into the “real world” after graduating college. He is an amazing guy who will do big things, and I cannot wait to watch it unfold.
